History Of The Quran
A number of esteemed scholars have previously explored the collection and transmission history of the Qur’ān. However, this study is prompted by the realization that most prior works have suffered from three key shortcomings: reliance on historical reports from Ḥadīth anthologies without integrating the Qur’ān's own account of its collection, insufficient use of historical criticism tools, and the blurring of distinctions between certain and tentative readings of the Qur’ān. This book aims to synthesize the collection history based on the Qur’ān and established historical sources, while rigorously evaluating the content found in Ḥadīth anthologies. By addressing these flaws, the study provides a more comprehensive and critically sound understanding of the Qur’ān's collection and transmission.
